Connect with community and give back to the ʻāina through the Genki Ala Wai Project Experience in Waikīkī.

This hands-on workshop invites guests to mālama ʻāina by creating Genki balls, natural tennis ball-sized bundles made from soil and a beneficial microbial solution that helps break down harmful bacteria in water.

Guided by the Genki Ala Wai Project, you’ll learn about the impact of these small but powerful tools while taking part in a meaningful effort to restore the Ala Wai Canal. After assembling the Genki balls, the group will release them together, contributing to the ongoing care of one of Waikīkī’s most important waterways.

Rooted in community, culture, and sustainability, this experience offers a deeper connection to Hawai‘i through hands-on action and shared purpose.
