Maria Ka’iu grew up singing in the car, around the house doing chores and at family parties. Asa child, her love for music led her to perform in choirs and as a teenager, she learned guitarwhich started her journey in writing original music. As a native Hawaiian woman of theislands, Maria learned the Hawaiian language, hula andmusic. She now performs live, singingand playing both original and cover songs that showcase all the genres of her child and earlyadulthood. Music has been a healing space for her and sharing this with others has become animportant part of her life.
